Jamcloset Essay

I am pleased to get the great chance of sharing the analysis on William Carlos williams's `` As the guy. '' This little poem paints a picture of the guy that rises up on top of the `` jamcloset '' (Williams 4) , then continues to carefully go down into the empty flowerpot; that's the whole poem. While easy enough on the first read, the true fun of the Williams poem comes at this representation of it all. What does it think? I will only speculate on the real meaning behind the long metaphor, but here is my attempt in understanding it.

When reading “ Poem ” the initial topic, that the audience takes is, what exactly is Williams attempting to say us. This picture is true, the text of the poem is short. This poem surfs as an extended figure. The guy is carefully rising at the jamcloset, putting each foot accurately. The audience’s first job is to determine the idea of “ jamcloset, ” which is naturally determined. But, the language is not specified at webster’s or any other dictionaries. This means that Williams intended for the job to evoke the example. “ Jam packed ” might be something that is chock-full with feelings to this fact that nothing more will be brought.
